This course is a mandatory requirement for a Master’s in Politics and International Cooperation. It examines policy options related to the financing of development, with their strategic and operational trade-offs as well as distributive justice implications. It is designed to foster reflection, debate and decision-making across the lines of development finance in times of uncertainties and financial constraints. As opposed to the typical academic setting in which theories are presented—normally one at a time—this course will be integrative, showing how a variety of conceptual prisms are needed to interpret real development finance challenges and building skills to use specific applications and tools.
